The mission of the campaign against teen pregnancy is to reduce the teen pregnancy rate in our community by providing teens with a greater knowledge of the effects, education and opportunities available to them and strengthening policies and programming and to improve the well-being of children, youth and families.

The stated goal of teen pregnancy prevention’s to help the girl get a step ahead in life by enabling them to plan their lives and the families.

OBJECTIVES

  1. Reduce rates of teen pregnancy
  2. Reducing the rates of school drop outs
  3. Decreasing the rates of unemployment by 70% by 2030
  4. Eradicate poverty
  5. Reduce birth rates among 17 to 19 years old girls
  6. To promote long lasting preventive intervention
  7. Strengthen effective clinical intervention
  8. Improve the content to encourage healthy
  9. child communication and social norms

 

BEHAVIORS TO BE CHANGED

  1. Delayed initiation, (Sex Abstinence)
  2. Reduce frequency of sex.
  3. Consistency contraception use
  4. Consistency condom use. {under directive and supervision}

EFFECTS OF TEEN PREGNANCY
The children for teen mothers are less likely to complete high school and more likely to end up on welfare. Again the children of teen mothers are at significantly increased risk of low birth weight and pre-maturity, welfare dependency poor school performance, insufficiency health care, inadequate parenting, abuse and neglect.

  3. Involvement of business people(for scholarship) to needy students

  5. In-depth knowledge of the strength and gap in services currently existing in the community
